1. About Linmee
Linmee is a neighbourhood marketplace that helps neighbours find useful pre-loved things.
Linmee is a product name, not a verified incorporated company name. The operator and data controller's legal identity, address for legal notices, public contact channel and any applicable registration details remain to be confirmed. These must be completed before public release.
2. Current service scope
The platform provides browsing and filters, favourites, listing management, saved searches, seller follows, in-app messaging, offers and negotiation, activity alerts and reporting tools. Some actions require sign-in and email verification. Signed-in setup requires manually selecting a nearby area; the choice is saved to the account. Public listings, profiles and share text use a generic nearby-area label without displaying the selected location name. No community invitation code is required. Area selection and floor details do not verify residence or identity; Flat is optional.
Linmee currently provides no escrow, online payment, wallet, withdrawal, delivery, insurance, item authentication or buyer-protection compensation. Email, third-party login and device push depend on actual configuration and on-screen availability; a displayed button does not establish that a service is enabled.
3. Content and external links
Users retain rights in their original photos and text and should upload only content they are entitled to use. Linmee branding, interface and original assets must be used in accordance with their actual ownership; third-party components and fonts remain subject to their licences. Linking to an external service does not endorse it; that service has its own rules.
4. Draft status and scope
These bilingual documents are drafts for the current UK community pilot. They have not completed solicitor review and are not a compliance certification. Both languages aim to express the same meaning; seek clarification if they differ, without reducing statutory rights. Expansion to other countries or adding payments, delivery or business sellers requires a fresh review.
